I’ve realized that my hesitancy to grow up has kept me stagnant for far too long. I’ve often chosen the easy path—the path of instant gratification, of fear.
Fear of change.
Fear of embodying the woman within me.
Fear of being the person the child in me needed her entire life.
The mother, the nurturer, the adorer.
As I age, I have learned to release and integrate the aspects of myself that once brought me shame. I have found my voice and learned to mute the voices of others—those with venomous words, aiming to mold me into the pain they carry.
But I am no longer vulnerable. I know now the power I possess to bring the light of the sun to the world.
Speaking My Truth
With age, I have sharpened my voice, speaking to myself in the way I have always desired—with love, respect, and truth. For in the end, truth is what sets us free.
The truth is, you may be playing small right now, unaware of the power within you. You, my love, are the most powerful force in your life. Wield that force for good—for others, and for yourself.
You have, and always will, flourish from the gift of your own love.
