Hi everyone! I hope you’re all doing amazing this Monday! I thought it’d be a good idea to give you more of a glimpse into my life. I’ve always struggled with being vulnerable, but I think it’s essential to share where I come from and why I do what I do.
Music is the love of my life. I would give up almost anything for music (except my family, duh). I grew up in a house full of music. My grandmother, who passed before I was born, was a professional singer in the 1940s and ’50s. My dad says my ability to sing is a gift from her, and I genuinely feel that I can create music because of her.
My father is an incredible guitarist, and our home was always alive with music. Every day, my sister and I would lay on the floor with my dad, close our eyes, and listen to the greats. I learned so much from that time, even if it seemed excruciating as a kid.
Discovering Music as My Path
At 11, I was diagnosed with Tourette’s syndrome. It was the first time I felt like something was wrong with me. This led to years of depression and anxiety. Music was my only outlet, the one thing that allowed me to express myself and feel empowered.
In high school, I began writing music to cope with the chaos and uncertainty of adolescence. It brought me peace when I needed it most. Later, I enrolled in Belmont University’s Music Business and Songwriting program—who would’ve thought you could go to college for songwriting?
Why I Create
I’m passionate about creating music and helping others because I know how healing it can be. Music saved me, helping me grow into the woman I am today. When you listen to my music, my intentions are to convey love, empowerment, and radiance. I want to help YOU see how valuable and loved you truly are.
Through personal empowerment, you can live your dream life and impact the world in ways only you can, my love. When you allow yourself to radiate your light, you invite others to do the same.
At the end of the day, it’s all about service. When you serve others, you serve yourself. I encourage you to consider how you can bring your gifts into the world, spreading that unique, amazing love only you can.
